New Scouts – Tenured Scouts – ALL SCOUTS are encouraged to attend Boot Camp!
Learn new skills – Brush up on old skills – HAVE FUN!
First time campers will be mentored by tenured scouts – learning how to set up camp, from dining fly to tents, kitchen to trails. Be there – BE PREPARED!
Scouts should come to the outing with their personal gear including a mess kit, water bottle/canteen, and clothing suitable for the weather.
The weather could be wet/cold/sunny/warm/windy all in the same day so we need to make sure they are prepared. They should also have a pocket knife that meets BSA standards which are; a folding locking blade and a blade no longer than the width of your palm (4″ or less). NO SHEATH KNIVES! Knives are not to be carried by the new scouts to the outing. Knives will be carried by a parent and given to an adult in charge at drop off.
Any medications needed by a scout need to be given to an adult leader. The medication(s) should be in their original containers with detailed instructions for its use. Please put the medications with instructions and your scouts name in a zip lock bag.
