BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!!

Trop 188 will be working with our friends, American Cancer Society, again this year in support of their annual Relay For Life Event.

Our involvement will include Color Guard duties – in leading the first lap around the track to kick off the event,  preparing and placing luminaria around the track and reading the names of those being remembered by luminaria at the evening ceremonies.

Troop 188 Scouts have requested to stay overnight this year as well.

Below are the KEY time points for the evening of activities and our participation times.
Friday – June 13
Set Up – 4:00 PM
Luminaria Sales Begin – 5:00 PM
Color Guard/Opening – 6:00 PM
Luminaria Reading – 10:00 PM

Saturday – June 14
Clean Up/Closing Ceremony/Departure 5:00 – 6:00 AM

A sign up sheet will be put in place for all who would like to attend, this event is open to family members – the more the merrier!!

BSA Guidelines do NOT allow our troop to raise funds for another organization, so we are unable to create a TEAM for the walk, our service to this organization is our contribution… AND THEY LOVE HAVING US INVOLVED!!!
