It’s a great opportunity to earn a fun Badge. You’ll get to design your own motorcycle components, tour the Harley Davidson Museum, see how motorcycle engines work, and what process the engineers at Harley Davidson use for their award winning designs.

Best yet, this is open to all family members, so feel free to make this a fun Family day event.

Here are the details:

Date: Saturday, April 26th

Depart CLC at 8:45 a.m.

Return CLC at 4 p.m.

Cost: $9 for Scouts and other kids; $16 for adults – includes a guided tour of the Museum

Lunch: You can bring it or purchase lunch at the Museum cafe.

Merit Badge Requirements:

You will need to read the Engineering Merit Badge book.  The Troop only has a few copies, which you can grab on a first come- first serve basis, or you may need to go to the Palatine Library to get the book.

You should also bring a piece of drawing paper and a pencil with you to design your motorcycle components.

We need to get an idea of head count fairly soon to make sure we have enough tour guides, so please sign up for the event at the next meeting.  If you aren’t going to be at the next few meetings or you have a question on the outing, you can RSVP or send questions to Sue Kirchner at susankirchner@sbcglobal.net.
